Geoffrey Brown

Dr. Brown graduated with his Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2018. Dr. Brown has trained and worked at independent research sites, academic labs, and health-systems including the Mayo Clinic. Currently, he works part-time as a dispensary pharmacist in Buffalo, NY and teaches an epidemiology course at Hartwick College as a part of their Masters Program in Translational Biomedical Research Management. Dr. Brown has published numerous articles and abstracts on medical marijuana, presented a handful of posters on the topic (one of which won most outstanding research), and has presented on the pharmacists role in MMJ at the APhA annual meeting

Michael Ruggiero

Dr. Ruggiero is a dispensary pharmacist in Philadelphia’s medical marijuana program. Since graduating from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 2016 he has worked with a majority of marginalized populations in some of the most underserved areas of Philadelphia. His passions include bringing his understanding of human psychology to medicine and combining that with his certifications in MTM and Cannabis, in addition to his American Academy of HIV Medicine Pharmacist certification.  Driven by his desire to augment patient care across the Pennsylvania’s Medical Marijuana program he played a role in developing an educational series for Veterans which was featured in Philadelphia Magazine, presented a 45-minute presentation on Cannabis and Palliative Care in at ISCPh’s Clinical Cannabinoid Conference, and developed dosing charts for oral formulations to assist in navigating the variable concentrations found in tinctures, oral syringes, and capsules, which was not previously available in the program. This has allowed many indirect improvements in the quality of consultant interactions at the Beyond / Hello location in Northern Liberties.

Krista Bower

I am a medical cannabis pharmacist in Pennsylvania. I am active in my local PA Pharmacists association and conference volunteer. I currently work at a Medical Cannabis Dispensary and enjoy providing patient consultations. Proving a patient centered plan using alternative medication is very rewarding for myself and our patients. I am a very detailed-oriented and organized person which is why I am the perfect fit for the ISCPh Board of Directors secretary and have successful held past secretary positions in other pharmacy organizations.
